PIZAN WOMAN

Christine de Pizan was a Fifteenth Century writer in France and one of the earliest of female authors in medieval Europe.

Mme de Pizan challenged her culture's stereotype of women and is best known for writing The Book of the City of Ladies, which she defends the abilities and achievements of women.

This collection combines 15th century with 19th century Victorian elements; a tme when her writings experienced a revival.
